Talk of the Week II

Since almost nobody seemed interested in Starkman's talk, I thought I would post one of his slides here. Note the resemblance to Louise Riofrio's graph here. Also note that the generous light blue band for the standard cosmology (or current stringy and loopy cosmology) does not agree with the data. At all. The curves that most closely match zero beyond some angle are created using data that excludes galactic contamination, which is the main topic of the talk.

Thanks for keeping up the posts on this. A growing number of people (Starkman, Larry Krauss) are pointing out that the CMB does not support the old cosmology. We should all get together sometime.

Predictions of the "LDCM" cosmology are excluded by both COBE and WMAP. Soime scientists have not learned how to read a graph.

Hi Louise. Yes, reading graphs is really kindergarten stuff, one would think. Those physics journal editors really should be more picky about what they publish.
